Britain's Swimmers Start their Countdown to the World Championships at Cyprus Training Camp

The World Championships in Shanghai is the last major long course event before the 2012 Olympic Games and a good performance there could provide Britain's swimmers with that all important psychological edge going into next year.

A number of swimmers booked their places for Shanghai at the British Gas Swimming Championships in March, but there are many that have still to qualify, so the pressure is on.

These athletes have one more chance to make the GB team for China, at the British Gas ASA National Swimming Championships (50m) from 14th to 17th June 2011.

During their time in Cyprus, the swimmers were put through their paces in the pool every day with additional specialist sessions to work on starts and turns, plus land-based strength and conditioning workouts.

We have exclusive training footage from the camp and interviews with Britain’s top swimming stars.
